A man accused of drowning his wheelchair-confined wife in a parklands pond in Adelaide has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Peter Rex Dansie, 69, was arrested in July last year, nearly three months after his wife Helen was found dead in the pond at Veale Gardens.
The 67-year-old woman was in a wheelchair after a stroke more than 20 years ago.
After hearing evidence from witnesses, Magistrate Elizabeth Sheppard found there was a case for Dansie to answer.
Most of the evidence from the hearing in the Adelaide Magistrates Court was suppressed.
Dansie pleaded not guilty to the murder charge and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
He'll be arraigned next month.
